Recurring NPCs

(Note: Stats aren't provided for some of these characters as they are on an active and possibly recurring basis. This leaves some surprises for my players!)

Archu, Male Half-Elf Fighter/Rogue

Faylen, Male Human "Guide" from High Clan Steairn: Faylen was once a member of the party. Slightly erratic, and very curious, he was enticed by a demon and hasn't been heard of since....

Aengus: is the "host" of the council of Stone. A direct descendant of its founder, Connacher, Aengus is beholden to a geis to maintain and unite the council. When the party met him he was a grumpy drunk, doomed for his inability to fulfill his geis. They provided an "intervention" and got him back on track.

Rale: He is a druid of undetermined age and power. Human steward of the Wood Between, his knowledge of this faye laden, largely unexplored territory is prodigious and his power among druids is unmatched. Cinn Oir has personally assisted him in slowing the advance of the giants through the Woods.

Nevan: You know, the crazy one with the spear that wanders around the Council of Stone. Nevan appeared before the council a few years ago claiming to be a descendant of Bran, a powerful explorer and bard from long ago. In an unprecedented move, the normally quiet druids who preside at the council stepped in and granted her admission to the council. The party has a running theory that she is not speaking to herself normally but speaking to her spear which they think may be intelligent or may even provide a link to Bran himself.

Doriatha: A very angry nymph. She lost a friend to some marauding giants and has since turned into an instrument of vengeance, quite contrary to her normal nature. She at first took out her anger on the party and has recently decided to take it out on anyone(thing) who dares pass through her territory.

Ceridwen: She first helped the party escape an angry mob in Session 1 and in the following few sessions they completed several quests for her. This half-elf seems to be an accomplished Wizard with a shady, rogue-ish nature. Her goals seem to center around "helping" fellow wizards and sorcerers escape persecution. Many of the party members question her vague and overbearing personality. Currently, the party has a hunch that she is leading a group calling themselves the "Arcane Order"

Cu Roi:
This ancient elf has lived in Eyru for over 500 years. He claims to have hitched a ride with one of the rare shipments from the legendary city of Tach after a "misunderstanding" in his own homeland to the east. His story can be found in Session 8. Also there is Bebe's advice to Cu Roi to "keep his thingy in his trousers". Ahh the joys of Charisma....

Gaelyn: Head of Tir Gaelyn in the Freeman's Lands, Gaelyn is a mysterious leader of one of the rare organized settlements among the bandits. Liam meets him while under arrest in Session 11 and the party uses Tir Gaelyn as a base of operations through Session 20. He is reputed to have dark magic powers and a knowledge of the future that allowed him to edge out the competition. Gaelyn hired the party on as mercenaries and slowly warmed up to them, allowing them to meet those of his inner circle....or perhaps he was just keeping an eye on them....

Ainfean: Ainfean is the face of the "law" in Tir Gaelyn. She sees to her duties with a great deal of attitude and a 10 foot spiked chain set to puree. She developed a special dislike of the party when, on their first day in Tir Gaelyn, they questioned her authority and, refusing to back down, started a deadly fight with her and her guards (see Session 11). Wounded and later shown up by Liam in a dagger fight while he was imprisoned, Ainfean would just as soon see the party dead. Her desire to do them harm is kept in check by her leader, Gaelyn, who has other ideas for the party.

Leverham: Leverham is a fiddle playing faye that the party met in Session 5. He and his band of Grigg managed to treat to the party to a wonderful game of "Marco Polo". After a relaxing midnight party cruise, the little faye apologized for playing tricks on the party and asked for help in reviving a fellow grigg named Gary.
