Eyru Overview:

Eyru is a temperate island-continent which covers approximately 85,000 square miles (roughly the size of our world's Great Britain). While its climate can be described as temperate, winters can be quite cold with a good deal of snowfall. Summers tend to be mild and only rarely venture above 75 degrees Fahrenheit. Abundant rainfall visits the eastern and central sections of the country in the spring and summer. The west sees slightly less precipitation though oddly, tends to see more snowfall in winter months.

This temperate inland weather is in direct contrast to the tumultuous seas. The eastern sea is known for its sudden and powerful storms which often times threaten the shoreline inhabitants. This however, isn't the sea's only danger. Horrific monsters are rumored to roam its depths and live among the impassable reef known as "The Dragon's Spine" which parallels the eastern coast. With such dangerous seafaring conditions the art of sea travel remains at a virtual standstill among the Eyrian people.
